Instructions on How To Use The Fiio e5 amplifier With a Music Player

Posted on 05:23 by Unknown

The Fiio e5 amplifier is a great, handy and small mini amplifier, that makes your earphones and headphones sound louder. What the Fiio e5 does it takes the input signal from your music device and amplifies and sends out an amplified signal to your headphones, which increase watts and loudness. The Fiio e5 is a excellent amp in my own opinion, its small, you an clip it on your trousers pocket and charge it up using a mini usb cable or charger. If you have this amplifier and don't know how to wire it with your mp3 player, use the instructions that are provided below to help you set it up.

Instructions:

1)Make sure that the Fiio e5 amplifier is charged up and has sufficient power.

2)If you bought your amplifier brand new or second hand with all the bits, look inside the box, you will see a double ended 3.5mm jack wire.

3)Connect the jack into the input jack on the amp, its the jack on the bottom side were the mini usb charging connecter is located.

4)Once you have made that connection, connect the other end into the headphone socket on your music player.

5)So now the amplifier can receive an input signal, connect your headphone into the headphone jack, located on the top side of the amplifier, near the volume control buttons.

6)Press down the power button on the amplifier, when the amp is powered on you will see a blue colour led light up.

A Solution On How To Fix Forza 4 Disc Corrupt Error Problem

Posted on 04:02 by Unknown

Forza 4 is the world's most selling racing simulation game and many of the people who have purchased recent copies of Forza 4, the copies that were sold close to the release data, experience disc corrupt error problems and i am one of them. This morning a played Forza 4, racing in a world championship to increase drive level and money and randomly the game stopped and there was a message on the screen that said "Your game disc appears to be corrupted, please ensure you are using an official Forza 4 Motorsport disc", from what i can remember. This problem kept on persisting through me playing Forza 4 and it got on my nerves, but eventually found a solution that i want to share.

Instructions on how to bypass Forza 4:

1)Power on your Xbox 360 console and eject the disc tray so Forza 4 doesn't load, making the dashboard appear with your profile signed in.

2)Then go to the "My Xbox", then select "System Settings", then select "Memory"  and it will lead you to a list of "Storage Devices".

3)Highlight the hard drive attached to your console and press the "Y" button on your controller. Device options will then appear on screen, you want to select the option called "Clear System Cache". How To Fix a Xbox 360 Cracked Faceplate

Posted on 03:29 by Unknown

If you have dropped your Xbox 360 console or you have removed the faceplate off the front of the console incorrectly, the faceplate could be cracked. If the faceplate on your Xbox 360 is cracked slightly and is hardly noticeable, then you can repair the crack, using super glue to seal it up and prevent the crack from expanding and going bigger. If the crack is very large and beyond repair, then i suggest you buy a replacement faceplate, as it will make the front of your Xbox 360 look brand new once again.

Instructions:

1)Make sure that any usb devices, memory units are removed from the console and also make the sure that the disc tray is closed. Then go ahead and remove the faceplate from the Xbox 360 console, this is by holding the console firmly and using your thumbs to push the faceplate off.
2)Once the faceplate is off, locate the crack. Then gets some super glue that sticks to plastic materials and open the lid, by unscrewing it.

3)Gently pour in the super glue into the crack, slowly with ease. Don't rush or press the super glue bottle really hard, this will cause glue to be poured all over the faceplate, creating a mess. Once the crack is filled up with super glue, replace the lid onto the bottle.

4)Allow the glue in the crack, to dry, this make take a while, i say about 1 hour. But the trying time depends on the brand and strength of the super glue you used, to be more specific, look at the label, to find out exactly how long the glue will take to dry.

5)Then replace the faceplate back onto the front of your Xbox 360 console, this is by align the tabs on the faceplate with the slots on the console and then pressing the faceplate inwards until it clicks in place.

Clearing out the Xbox 360 system cache helps remove built up data that gets clogged up in the systems cache. When this happens, a game can become glitchy and not work properly and the dashboard interface can become very slow. In the Xbox 360 cache, data such as game updates get stored into it and is the Xbox 360's short term memory source. How To Temporary Fix a PS2 Slimline With a Broken Lid

Posted on 06:58 by Unknown

A ps2 slimline console has a lid that opens and closes, so you can swap games or movies. The lid itself gets worn out because the fragile spring holding it opens and closes far too often, after a few years of using your ps2 slimline, there will be a day when the lid simply breaks off. Once the lid is broken, your ps2 is useless as the game disc will not spin, as the sensors will not get pressed down, therefore it will not load and you can't play it. However, you can get it repaired, but the ps2 slimline has little value, due to its old age, so it is not worth getting it repaired, as in most cases the repair is more than the retail value of the console. So use the temporary solution provided because you can still play games, like normal, with little cost.

Instructions:

1)Insert a game disc into the ps2 console, a game that you want to play.

2)Then place the broken lid back into its original position, it goes on top of the disc.

3)Get some insulation tape, tape that is strong enough to hold the broken lid in place on the console, without ripping of the paint, when you remove it. Rip a small amount of tape from the roll and place the tape onto the side of the lid. This tape will hold the lid down and prevent it moving or falling off when playing a game.

4)Power on your ps2 slimline console, the game disc will spin and will begin, like normal. If you would like to change the game, remove the tape, swap the disc and replace the tape.

Can You Charge AAA Batteries On a AA Battery Charger?

Posted on 02:46 by Unknown

AA and AAA batteries are both the similar because they both produce 1.5 volts on a full charge to electrical powered items, to make them operate. The only main difference between the two is that AA batteries are larger and have more mAh because of their size, which means they can hold a battery charger for longer. The AAA batteries are smaller, therefore, they don't contain high mAh, so they will die quicker. But due to their internal size, it makes them ideal, as AAA batteries can be used in small portable speaker, remote controls and toys.

You can charge AAA rechargeable batteries on a AA battery charger because the voltage that is produce for each battery compartment from the AA battery charger is 1.2 volts, the same volts a single AAA batteries requires to get charged up. I know this because i measured the volts produce for each battery compartment in the battery charger, using a handy multimeter. So yes you can charge AAA batteries on a AA battery charger and just to make sure, i tested it out for myself and it worked. But make sure that the batteries are rechargeable, if not; they could explode or catch on fire, which is not safe. One thing though, the AAA batteries won't fit into the battery compartments on the AA charger, so you will need to purchase adapters that convert a AAA battery into a AA battery.

How To Clean a Nintendo DS Screen

Posted on 02:28 by Unknown

The screen on your Nintendo ds console can become dirty because of you using your finger instead of the stlus pen that is provided. If you use your finger, you will cause greasy fingerprints to appear on the screen. The screen can also become very dusty, if you haven't use your Nintendo ds console for a long time. So you will need to clean the ds screen, but you have to clean it the right way. I have seen people cleaning the screen using solvent based chemicals, which eventually damaged the touch sensitivity of the screen. You don't need to use powerful cleaners to clean the screen; all you need is a lint free cloth, that is soft and dust free.

Instructions:

1)Open your Nintendo ds console, this is so you can access the screen.
2)Get your lint free cloth and clean the screen upwards and downwards, slowly, without scrubbing hard. Scrubbing harder will not make the screen cleaner, instead it will cause scratches to appear and you could crack the screen. Also make sure you don't clean the screen, using the lint free cloth in any circular motions, this will cause scratches to appear and will be visible in direct sunlight.

3)Once you have cleaned the screen, if you find that the top screen is dirty and dusty, then apply step 2 for that screen as well. When you have finished cleaning both ds screens, place the lint free cloth in a place were it can't get misplaced, as you may need it again, when the screen becomes dirty and dusty again.

How To Make Blow Off Valve bov Sound Louder In Forza 4

Posted on 02:04 by Unknown

Forza 4 is a excellent racing simulator game, its graphics are very detailed and smooth, plus the engine, turbo spool, blow off valve and exhaust sounds are spot on and sound just like they would on a real car. This is because Turn 10 recorded the engine sounds using microphones from real cars. When i was playing Forza 4, i noticed that the sound of the turbo spooling up and the bov blowing off, sounded really weak and were not audible enough to get your satisfaction from driving the car. This annoyed me because everything else is really loud like the exhaust and engine sounds, but you can hardly hear the turbo and supercharger whine, whistle, strange thing is you could hear them in Forza3, but Forza 4 is newer, confused! But, like always, i find a way around just about anything and found a little trick to make the turbo whistle louder and blow off valve louder.

Instructions:

1)Load Forza 4 up, go into "Career" and select "My Profile".

2)You will see a list, on that list you will see a option called "Audio", using the d-pad on your controller, highlight it and press "A" to select it.

3)You will now see the audio settings menu, here you can make adjustments to the sounds fx and music in the game. Now turn down the in game music volume to the lowest level and go to "Sound Effects Focus" and select "Car". This will make the blow off valve louder, as the game reduces other sound effects, like tires and wind, to make the car sound more audible to your ears.

How To Connect & Install Two Car Amplifiers Together

Posted on 02:52 by Unknown

A car amplifier is used in car audio applications to increase the output wattage speakers produce, as it increase the total output that is delivered to the driver because of an amplification circuit. If you already have a car audio amplifier installed in your car to power a subwoofer and you want to power a set of speakers from a second amplifier, you will need to connect both car amplifiers together, to make the second amplifier power on.

Instructions on how to hook up two car amps:

1)Get a wiring kit for your car amplifier, you want a kit that includes: remote wire, RCA leads, speaker wires, power and ground cables. All theses wires are necessary for a proper amplifier installation. When you are buying a wiring kit for your amplifier, buy a wiring kit that matches the watts your amp puts outs. So if your amplifier is a 1000 watts, then buy a 1000 watts wiring kit.

2)Remove the negative terminal from the negative battery post, found on the car battery. This is to prevent a short circuit to happen if you mess up the wiring.

3)Using a screwdriver unscrew the "Remote Wire", "Ground" and "Positive Wire" terminals found on both car amplifiers.

4)Once you have done that, insert the remote wire into the second amplifier and then insert it into the "Remote Wire" terminal on the first car amplifier. Then screw up the terminals found on both amps, to prevent the remote wire from moving around.

5)Insert the power wire into the "Positive Terminal" found on the second amplifier and then insert it into the "Positive Terminal" on the first amplifier. Then screw up the terminals.

6)Insert the ground wire into "Ground Terminal" found on the second amplifier and then insert the other end of the cable into the "Ground Terminal" found on the first amplifier. Then screw up the terminals.

7)Connect the RCA leads to the RCA outputs on your car head unit. Then connect the other end of the RCA leads into the "Input" RCA sockets found on the second car amplifier. Once you have done that, the second car amplifier can now receive a input signal.

8)Reattach the negative terminal onto the negative terminal on the car battery.

How To Fix a PSP Console That Will Not Play MP4 Movie Videos

Posted on 02:43 by Unknown

A psp has a large screen, with a decent pixel resolution, to watch movies and have a great watching experience. A psp also has compatibility with large capacity memory sticks, so you can store high quality mp4 movie files onto it and watch then on your psp console. Overall a psp console is great for mp4 videos, however, some users experience that there psp console will not play mp4 videos, if that is the case, the solutions to help you find a fix to the problem are below:

1)Make sure the mp4 video file is placed in the correct folder and location. If you have placed the mp4 video file on the root of the memory card, the psp will not find the mp4 file. So make sure the mp4 file is placed in the folder called "VIDEO". If there is no folder called "VIDEO" on the memory stick, create and make sure you spell the word video in capitals.

2)Make sure that the mp4 file you want to play on your psp console is named .mp4. If the file has a name, but doesn't have the .mp4 at the end of it, that can be a reason why the psp will not play the mp4 movie. This is because the psp can't recognize that it is a mp4 file.

3)If you have used a special program to convert the video to mp4 video format and transfer it automatically to your psp memory stick, some programs don't work as well as others and you are probably using a program that is buggy. The program that i use is called "Psp video 9", its a free psp video converter that works, without any bugs. So give it a try.

4)Make sure the mp4 video file is not corrupted. Corrupted means that some of the data in the file is either damaged or lost, this can happen when you unplug your psp console from the computer, when the psp video converter software is copying the mp4 file onto the memory stick. So create a fresh mp4 file, from the original source, if that doesn't work, the original source is corrupt.

Posted on 02:15 by Unknown

If you have a memory card for your digital camera and it is dirty or dusty, then it may cause a malfunction for the camera to recognize it. This problem can be cause because of dust and dirt on the metal contacts, as this can reduce the conductivity of the metal contacts on the memory card, with the camera, so you will need to give the memory card a quick clean, to make it function correctly and make also look brand new.

Instructions:

1)Remove the memory card from your camera, most cameras have a flap that says "Insert Memory Card" or something similar. What you want to do is open the flap; this can be done by inserting your nail into the side of it.

2)Then push in the memory card, it will then click out of  its holder and then remove itself from the camera.

3)Get a random lint free cloth and pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto the gold contacts found on the memory card.

4)Rub the rubbing alcohol onto the metal contacts on the memory card, when cleaning them, clean them with ease and try not to scrub them really hard, as it will wear off the metal and destroy the memory card altogether.

5)If the plastic on the memory card is dirty, pour a little amount of rubbing alcohol onto the plastic, then using your cloth, wipe it off.

6)Leave the memory card alone for 5 minutes, this is so the rubbing alcohol is dried off.

7)Insert the memory card back into your camera, this is by pushing it in, it will then lock itself in place and then you can close the "Memory Card" flap.

How To Wire a CB Radio In a Car

Posted on 07:03 by Unknown

A CB radio is officially license free because mobile phones took over, but some people prefer to CB radio, than a mobile phone because you don't need credit to talk because you can talk on a CB radio nonstop, without a charge. Some people have a CB radio as there homebase setup, you can also install them into your car. If you have installed your CB radio into your car and have mounted it with a bracket, the last part will be to wire the antenna and power wires, to get it operating.

Instructions:

1)Remove the CB radio from its bracket, this is by remove the screws on each side of the bracket that hold it in place.

2)Look for two colour wires, red and black, these wires are wires that obtain the ground and power to your rig. If the wire is not long enough to reach to the car battery, use same gauge wire and extended both wires; this is so they reach to the terminals on the battery. Make sure there is a fuse inline with the red wire, this is so the CB radio is protected against blowing out, from a short circuit.

3)Connect the red wire onto the positive terminal on the car battery and connect the black wire onto the negative terminal on the car battery.

4)Once you have made the power connections, next you will need to connect your mag mount antenna to it. Before connecting the antenna, use a swr meter to see the reading, you want a reading that is at least below 1:5, the lower, the better, as more power output is delivered through the antenna and less output power is going back into your radio, keeping the output transistor cool.

5)Once you have a good swr reading, connect the antenna coax connector plug into the coax socket on the rear of the CB radio.

6)Place the CB radio back into the bracket, then replace the screws you removed, to secure the CB radio in place.

How To Wire a Computer Fan To a Battery

Posted on 06:46 by Unknown

A computer fan is used to blow air onto heat sinks, to reduce the temperature of components that are operating in a computer, components such as the processor that generate lots of heat. A computer fan can also be used in the summer for our own use, to cool our body temperature down; this can be done by wiring a spare computer fan to a battery. A computer fan operates on 12 volts, so you will need a 12 volt battery to make the computer fan blades spin fast. You could use a square 9 volt battery, but the fan blades will not spin really fast, like they should.

Instructions:

1)A computer fan has 3 wires attached to it, one wire is a negative, the other wire is the positive and the third wire is the control. Snap off the control wire, using a wire cutter, as that wire will not be necessary for powering it from a battery.

2)Locate the terminals on the 12 volt battery, there should be two terminals in total, one will be negative and the other will be positive. If the wires on computer fan have no exposed braid, using wire strippers, strip off 2 cm off plastic coating of both wires.

3)Wrap the braid of the positive wire, onto the positive (+) terminal on the battery and apply the same method with the negative wire, onto the negative (-) terminal on the battery.

4)Once you have made the connections, the fan will operate, you may want to wire a switch inline, so you can turn on and off the computer fan, but that is your choice.

How To Play Sega Dreamcast Games On a Computer/PC/Laptop Using a Emulator

Posted on 02:41 by Unknown

The Sega Dreamcast was a good gaming console when it came out, it was in competition with the psone from Sony and in my opinion it had better graphics. However, Sega gave up with the console in 2001, due to the ps2 coming out on its way, but in the time the Dreamcast was out, it had games that were highly popular to gamers, games like, Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventures, which if it had a Dreamcast today i enjoy them still today. However, many people no longer have a Dreamcast console, but if you have a decent computer or laptop, then you can play them by running the games off a Dreamcast emulator that is available download for free on many gaming download websites.

Instructions:

1)Select a decent emulator that can run Dreamcast games on your computer without the games running slow and crashing when loading. I would recommend a reliable emulator called "Chankast" because it is one of the best currently available to use.

2)Once you have downloaded a emulator to run the games, you will then need to extract the emulator files onto your computer and install them. Once installed, the emulator will make your computer act as a Dreamcast console, how clever is that!

3)Download a game you want to play in a ROM file from a website that collects Dreamcast games in ROM files. ROM files are a copy of a game that makes a emulator play the game from files, instead of a game discs.

4)Once you have downloaded the ROM of the game you want to play, open the emulator and select the ROM you have downloaded onto your computer's hard drive, this is to initiate the game.

Nokia X7 Stereo Speakers Sound Quality & Loudness Video Test

Posted on 02:29 by Unknown

The Nokia x7 is the next music series mobile phone from the successor Nokia x6, many people are wanting to buy the Nokia x7 because it has 4 speaker grills placed on each corner, so that indicates do us that it has 4 speakers right? Well, actually it has 2 speakers, but still it has a dedicated audio chip to increase the sound output of the speakers, so it sounds good and should match the sound quality the Nokia 6233/6234 produces through internal stereo speakers. In my opinion, the Nokia x7 has more bass, but to my ears, the Nokia c7 sounds clearer, see for yourself in the speaker performance test video provided below:

Do you think the Nokia x7 has better sound quality and more louder sound than the Nokia c7, leave your comments:)

How To Reduce CB Radio TV Interference From Neighbors

Posted on 01:51 by Unknown

A television receives TV channels from the aerial mounted onto of the roof on your house or building, they channels are received by invisible radio waves created by transmitting towers, that we can't see. A CB radio also uses radio waves to transmit voice, from one place to another, this can cause interference if you are listening to the radio or watching TV, when somebody is using their CB radio. This can cause problems, as you can't watch your TV because the picture crashes and you can't listen to your radio because somebody voice is heard through the speaker inside the radio.
Solutions on how to reduce CB radio TV interference:

1)Look out of your window, do you see a 6 foot steel pole with a CB antenna attached to it that is mounted on the side of the wall or chimney on a house nearby? If you do, somebody nearby is causing interference and that is likely because they are using a linear amp, know also a burner or kicker amplifier. This device creates a larger output power, sometimes it creates too much power, power that can interfere with TVs and radios because they receive radio waves. So speak to him and tell him reduce the dead output his rig is putting out and hopefully inference from his CB radio will stop getting through your TV or radio.

2)Tell the CB owner to place his CB antenna above your TV roof aerial because if it is placed higher than the TV aerial, the waves can't disturb the radio waves received from the TV aerial.

3)Use a high pass filter for your TV, this will filter interference the interference from CB radios operating around the area you live because CB radios waves.

How To Replace a Dead Battery In a CB Radio Power Microphone

Posted on 03:05 by Unknown

A power microphone is used to increase the modulation output of a CB radio because it has a amplification circuit that makes your voice sound louder. However, if you are constantly using your CB radio microphone and you realize that the battery inside it is dead or showing signs that it is dying, signs such as the power light dims, or low voice modulation, when you key the mic, you will need to replace the battery inside it.

Instructions:
1)There will be a screw on the back of the power microphone, that holds the rear plastic cover in place, so using your hands, unscrew the screw. Once you have unscrewed it, place it in a location that it can't get lost because if you misplace it, the plastic cover will fall off.

2)Remove the rear plastic cover and remove the 9 volt battery from the battery snap.

3)Recycle the dead battery and remove the new 9 volt battery from the packaging, then insert it onto the battery snap.

4)Once the battery is connected onto the battery snap, place the battery inside the power microphone, then replace the rear plastic cover you removed earlier.

5)Then replace the screw back into the hole and screw it tight.

How To Hook Up a CB Radio Linear Amplifier For More Transmitting Power

Posted on 02:46 by Unknown

A standard CB radio these days have a dead key output of about 4 watts, 4 watts can't transmit far distances, but it is enough power for local talking to your buddys, if you have the right setup. If you want your voice to be heard to people on CB radios that live really far from the location where you are transmitting with your CB radio, a linear amplifier will be the solution for you. A linear amplifier increases the output transmitting power of your rig, it takes the dead key from output from the CB radio and creates a larger output, to be transmitted through the antenna, to get out more better.

Instructions on how to hook up a CB linear amp:

1)Before hooking up a CB linear amplifier to your CB radio, make sure the swr reading on your antenna is below the 1:5 ratio, anything higher than that amount can damaged the output transistors in the linear amp. Also make sure that the dead key of your Cb radio is no more than 10 watts because most linear amps get damaged if the input dead key is more than 10 watts, as they will overheat.

2)Remove the antenna coax plug from your CB radio, this is by unscrewing it. Place your linear amp close to your rig and then connect the antenna coax plug into the socket called "Output".

3)Then get a double ended patch lead and connect it to the CB radio and connect the other end into the socket called "Input" on the linear amp.

4)Once the connections are made, if you have a mobile linear amplifier, connect it to a power supply, red wire into the positive terminal and black wire into the negative terminal. Make sure your power supply can provide the amount of amps that is required for the linear amp, or it won't perform its best.

If the linear amplifier is a home base style, the type that has a built it power supply, then connect the plug into the electrical outlet, switch it on and the switch on the linear amplifier.

How To Clean a PS1 Game Disc

Posted on 02:31 by Unknown

A ps1 game disc can no longer work and can cause a disc read error to occur on your psone console, this can make the game not work and unplayable. The likely reason why this can happen is because the surface of the disc were the laser lens reads the data off can be dirty, dust and greasy finger prints can be on the disc surface, that can causes errors. Cleaning a psone disc is not hard, but if it is scratched badly, cleaning it will not remove the scratches, though you could try toothpaste to buff them off.

Instructions:

1)Remove the disc from your ps1 console that you want to wipe clean, the disc can be removed by pressing the "Eject" button down and remove the disc, with the grip from your hands.

2)Once the game disc is removed, rinse the "Black" shiny surface under a tap, with cold water and using washing up liquid, rub it into the surface of the disc, using a soft, lint free cloth. Washing it with a cleaning liquid and water will immediately remove dirty and finger prints.

3)Give it another rinse with water, to remove the washing up liquid, then get a soft cloth, that is dry and using it, wipe the disc clean, this is to remove the remaining water left on the disc surface.

4)Once you have completed the cleaning process, the game will be dust and finger print free, so you can insert it into the ps1disc drive, shut the flap, press the reset button and begin to play the game.

A memory card can be inserted into a ps1 gaming console to save game progress you have made in games you play on the console. However, the ps1 memory card can get full up and have no free storage blocks for more game saves to be saved onto the ps1 memory card, so you will need to delete the saves that you no longer use or need.

Instructions:

1)Make sure the psone console is powered off, then insert the memory card you want to delete game saves off into a free slot on the ps1 console. The memory card slot will be seen on the front of the console, it will be a flap that will say "Memory Card" on it.

2)Once you have inserted the memory card into the console, press the "Eject" button down, then the disc flap will open, if it has a game disc inside it, then remove it from the console and place it in a plastic sleeve, to prevent it getting scratched and dusty. Then close the flap.

3)Turn on the Playstation 1 console on, this is by pressing down the "Power" button, then select "Memory Card" from the main menu that will come up on the TV screen. All the game save data files that are stored on the psone memory card will be shown on screen. How To Launch a PS2 Boot Disk and Use It To Play Games Off a External Hard Drive

Posted on 06:33 by Unknown

If you have a hard drive connected into the expansion bay slot inside your ps2 console, you will need to use a ps2 boot disk to play ps2 games off the hard drive. Playing ps2 games from a hard drive is a good alternative to use ps2 game disks because the laser inside the disk drive doesn't get used, so it increases the lifespan of the laser and also makes your ps2 console run quieter because you don't hear the game disk spinning really fast, to load the game.

Instructions:

1)Make sure the ps2 plug is connected into a electrical outlet that is switched on, then press the eject button on your ps2 console. This will make the disc tray eject out, if the tray has a game placed into, remove it and put it back into its plastic cover.

2)Then insert the ps2 boot disk into the tray and press the eject button, this will close the tray and then press the reset button.

3)The ps2 boot disk will automatically come on, once reset, once it is loaded it will bring up the "HDloader" main menu, a menu that displays all the games on your hard drive in a list.

4)Choose a game you want to play of your choice, then press "Play" to play games and the ps2 game will boot and load from the hard drive. If you want to install new games onto the hard drive, select "Install" and the installation procedure will begin.

How To Fix a Not Working PS2 Cooling Fan That Is Not Spinning and Not On

Posted on 03:59 by Unknown

A ps2 console requires a cooling fan to draw all the hot air inside the console outwards, to keep operating temperatures cool. If the fan inside your ps2 console is not spinning, i strongly suggest you don't use your ps2 console for long gaming sessions, as it can overheat very quickly and the GPU and processor will get damaged from overheating.

Instructions:

1)In order to carry out a further examination on why that fan is not spinning, you will need to dissemble the console to access to the motherboard fan connector.

2)Remove the cooling fan connector from the motherboard, get a multimeter and connect each probe onto each pin, there will be 2 pins, one pin will be negative and the other will be positive.

3)Set your multimeter to read voltage, power on the ps2 console and the screen should display 5-12 volts. If the screen shows no volts, then check the fuse that protects the cooling fan because it is likely it has burned out, due to a short circuit. You can locate the ps2 fan fuse by looking at diagrams for your particular model of the ps2 console.

4)If the multimeter shows there is 5-12 volts, the cooling fan is probably faulty, so to test if it is, get a computer cooling fan and attach it to the connectors on the motherboard, if that fan spins, but the ps2 fan doesn't, then replace the ps2 cooling fan with a brand new one.

How To Clean a Dusty Fan On a PS2 Fat Style Console

Posted on 07:14 by Unknown

If you have been using your ps2 console for a long time, the fan can become really dusty and cause the ps2 graphics and CPU processor to overheat. When the cooling fan and the grill in front of it is full of dust, it can't draw all the hot air inside the ps2 console out as quickly, causing more heat to built up inside the console. Cleaning a dusty ps2 fan can also make your ps2 look brand new once again and is not really hard for you to clean.

Instructions:

1)Remove all the cables, including the power cable, controller and av TV cable from the ps2 console, to make cleaning easier for you to do.

2)Turn your ps2 console around to the rear of it, you will see a plastic grill with a cooling fan placed behind it, that is full of dust.

3)Once you have located the cooling fan grill, get a vacuum cleaner and using the nozzle to suck up all the dust inside the vents and fan blades. If you don't have a vacuum cleaner, then use a can of compressed air to blow out all the dust, it does the job just fine.

4)Once you have cleaned the cooling fan, connected the wires you removed from it earlier on.

How To Make a PS2 Console Play Burned Backup Copied Pirated Games

Posted on 06:52 by Unknown
If you have a ps2 console, you are probably wanting to modify it, this is so you can play backup copies of original games you already own. Having backup burned copies of your games on writable media is handy, if you have scratched or cracked the original game because you can still play that game, as you can insert your backup copy of the game into your PlayStation 2 console and play. When Sony created the ps2 console, they added a copyright feature in the motherboard, this is so people can't play burned games on the ps2 console. Sony did that, to reduce piracy from pirate games from selling to owners of ps2 consoles and game developers going into losses, as people would rather buy a "£5.00" for a burned copy of Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Instead of paying the official retail price which would be around "£40.00", which you would not want to pay for a game.

So you have to modify your ps2 console in order to make in play burned copies of games you own on you Playstation 2 console. This can be done by soldering a mod chip onto the motherboard, to break the copyright protection code that the ps2 laser reads of game discs, to make your ps2 console think that it has the original copy of the game, when you insert a burned game into the disc tray. A mod chip is not easy to install, it requires advanced soldering skills and soldering equipments and you need to know were each wire needs to be soldered on the motherboard. One mistake and you can damage your ps2 console, which means you can't return your ps2 for a refund because you have opened it to install the chip, so if things go bad, then you are screwed!

If you don't like soldering and don't want to open your ps2 console and void the warranty, you can soft mod it using a "Swapmagic" disc. Swapmagic is a disc that you insert into your ps2 console, then swap the Swapmagic disc with a copied game. Before swap magic works, you will need to remove the front plastic on the disc drive, this is so you can insert a slide card into to make the disc tray come out, so you can insert the copy game into the disc tray, without the ps2 know you are switching discs. Swapmagic is great and work perfectly, but it gets annoying when you change games often, because you have to reinsert the Swapmagic disc back into the console and swap it with a copied game.

How To Fit a Nokia BL-5C Battery In a Nokia 6300 To Increase Battery Life

Posted on 06:34 by Unknown

The Nokia 6300 uses a lot of battery power because the screen brightness is set to 100% by factory, this makes the standard Nokia bl-4c battery fitted in the Nokia 6300, drain really quickly. There are recent firmware updates that help increase the battery life, however they don't seem to make any improvement on enhancing the battery life. This is because the Nokia bl-4c battery is only 860 mah, which is not really a lot for a smartphone device. I had a Nokia 6300 in the past and the battery life of it was very poor, the battery every day needed a fully charge because the "Battery low" message used to be displayed far too often and i found it a problem after a few days. So i came up with a solution to increase the battery life on the Nokia 6300 and the solution was to replace the stock battery with a bl-5c battery.

The bl-5c battery is larger than the 4c found in the Nokia 6300 because it can store a battery charger for longer than a bl-4c battery because it is rated at 1050 mah. So i replace the bl-4c battery in my Nokia 6300 with a bl-5c battery from a Nokia 6230i that i no longer need and it helped to gain a few extra days from the battery life on the Nokia 6300, so it did help. One thing that i need to say that the bl-5c battery will not fit in the battery slot in the Nokia 6300, so you would need to sand down the plastic bit, or cut it off slightly with a sharp razor blade, to make it fit into the battery slot.

How To Test a Smoke Alarm Battery, To Find Out If It Needs Replacing

Posted on 04:32 by Unknown

A smoke alarm is a excellent device that can detect if a fire is occurring and can alert you that there is a fire, by creating a loud "Alarm" beep sound, it is a device that can save your life. But if the battery in your smoke alarm is dead, flat or faulty, then the smoke alarm will not work and you will not know if there is a fire, this put your life at a high risk. So it is ideal to test the battery inside the smoke alarm, to ensure that it is getting enough power to work.

1)Get access to your smoke alarm, there should be a large button on the plastic casing that says "Test". Press the button down, if the smoke detector beeps, then the battery is fine and will not need replacing. If it doesn't beep then the battery is dead, or the unit doesn't have a battery attached to it.

2)There are some cheap fire alarms that don't have a "Test" button for you to press down and to check if the battery is dead. If you fire alarm doesn't have the test button, then remove the battery from the smoke alarm. It should be inside the smoke alarm and a 9 volt battery attached to a small battery snap should be connected to it. Once you have removed it, get a battery tester and insert the 9 volt battery onto it. If the needle on the battery tester swings to the area that says "Charged" then the battery is fine. If the needle on the battery tester doesn't swing at all, then the battery has no power and will need replacing.

How To Test a Computer Fan With an Ohmmeter, To Find Out If It Is Faulty

Posted on 04:10 by Unknown

The components inside modern computers these days produce lots of heat because they are working really hard to deliver high performance at speed. The heat that is produced by the components must be dissipated quickly as possible, this is to reduce the components getting damaged, components such as a CPU or GPU that heat up quickly. Cooling computer fans are usually placed onto the top of components that generate a tone of heat because the blades on the computer fan produce cool air that blows directly onto the components, which reduces the operating temperature. If you are about to install a computer fan to your computer, you want to ensure that it is working correctly and is not faulty, if it is, the components are in a risk of getting damaged from overheating. So before installing them into your computer, test the computer fan with an ohmmeter.

Instructions:

1)Remove the computer fan from a computer, if it is connected to your computer. First undo the screws that are holding it in place and then disconnect the fan connecter from the motherboard or molex connector, from, the power supply unit (PSU).

2)Once the computer fan is removed from your computer, power on the ohmmeter and connect the red colour positive probe to the red wire on the fan. Then connect the black colour negative probe on the black wire on the computer fan.

3)Look on the screen display on the ohmmeter, it should display that the stator has a resistance of 0 ohms, which is good and shows that the computer fan is working fine. If the stator resistance reading is more than 10 ohms, the computer fan is damaged or is faulty, so to ensure that your computer components get reliable cooling, you will need to replace it with a working computer fan.
