Can You Top up With a £5 Five Pound Voucher On a GiffGaff Sim?

Posted on 03:10 by Unknown

GiffGaff is currently the best pay as you go mobile phone network around, with their cracking deals they have on offer, that give you lots of minutes, texts and unlimited internet for so little, compared to other pricey networks, you can't really complain with the service they provide. They also run their network on o2, so getting a good and reliable signal is never a problem.

If you have been on there official GiffGaff website and have had a look at there goodbag offers you will notice that their is a £5 goodybag listed and you might be considering taking it. This is if you're that type of mobile phone user that don't need tons of any network minutes, texts and mobile internet. You might be thinking that you can purchase a £5 voucher from a shop that provide a paypoint service, top your sim card with £5 and add the goodybag to your sim card.

However, for some reasons GiffGaff don't do a £5 credit top up voucher, they have set customers a minimum top up amount of £10. This is disappointing for some people that don't want to spend £10 or more a month and are on a strict budget. So if I have suggested you some alternative networks that allow customer to top up with five pounds, they are: Vodaphone, Virgin and Orange.

Can Ixtreme Firmware Play Original Xbox 1 Games on Xbox 360?

Posted on 05:33 by Unknown

The original Xbox console had many classic games that were released for it, games that are still unforgettable today. Games like Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Need For Speed Underground 2 and Burnout Revenge that are still fun to play today. So Microsoft decided to make the best Xbox 1 old games, which were 279 games, compatible with the Xbox 360 when they released the console. Then Microsoft increased the amount of Xbox 1 games to 476, in the dashboard update that was released in November 2007. Sadly at April 2010 the online features of Xbox live won't work for Xbox 1 games and no downloadable content is on the marketplace for them, as the live services has been ditched, but still at least you can play the games. Also after that dashboard update in November 2007, Microsoft no longer continued to add more Xbox original games to work with the Xbox 360 in there newer updates, which is disappointing for some.

So Will Xbox 1 Games Play On My Xbox 360?

If you have flashed the drive in your console onto the Ixtreme (LT) firmware, which allows you to play backups of your original Xbox 360 games, then you can still play original Xbox 1 games on it. This is because the Ixtreme firmware allows you to play backup copies and play original as well. Even if you have an elite, arcade or slim model, all three have backwards compatibility built into them from the factory.

My Xbox Original Game Is Not Working On My Xbox 360 and The Disc Is Not Scratched?

If you have inserted a original Xbox 1 game disc into your Xbox 360, it is not scratched or dirty and it won't work, then its highly likely that it is not compatible with you console because Microsoft had only made certain games compatible with your Xbox 360, so not all of them will work.

To find out if the game you want to play on your Xbox 360 is compatible, then visit the link provided below, it will open a new window and will redirect you Xbox.com for an official list.

Xbox 360 Backwards Official Compatibility List at Xbox.com

If you have checked on the compatibility list at Xbox.com and your game you want to play is added on it, your console is likely to be on the old dashboard version and you will need update the dashboard on your console to the latest version, so the game you want to play has compatibility with your console.

You can update it by connecting it to Xbox live and it will automatically update for you. If its a offline console, then you can download the update from Xbox.com and either burn it to a disc or place the update files onto the usb flash drive and update the console.

How To Mod Sony MDR-XB700 Headphones, More Sub Bass, Clarity & Soundstage

Posted on 09:29 by Unknown
If you own a pair of Extra Bass series basshead headphones from Sony and want more low frequency subwoofer bass, more clarity and better soundstage, then you can do a modification to the drivers. The modification involves you to remove the white thin paper that is placed behind the headphones drivers. Once removed, it allows the diaphragm to move more freely and operate more efficiently, providing lots of benefits in better sound quality.

The modification is fairly easy for you to do, but remember to be extremely careful when handling the drivers, as the wires can become detached and you have to be careful that you don't make a hole in the driver's diaphragm, when removing the paper.

This mod can be done to the Sony MDR-XB500, MDR-XB700 AND MDR-XB1000.

Instruction on how to modify the headphones:

1) First you will need to disassemble the headphones. So get a small Philips screwdriver and unscrew the three screws that are located inside the leather cushion. Like shown in the image below.

2) Then place all the tiny screws in a location where they can't get misplaced. Then turn the leather cushion anticlockwise to release it and place it down.

3) There are another three more small screws that hold the actual driver into its housing, so get your Philips screwdriver and unscrew them all.

4) Then remove the driver from the headphone and look at the rear of it. You will see a paper around the rear of the driver in a arc shape.

5) What you need to do is remove the paper. So get a small needle and carefully prick the paper from the corners. Then once you have got a corner that is curled up, slowly peel it the paper off to remove it.

6) That is it you have now done the modification. Then reassemble the driver back into the headphone, by following the instructions provided in this article in reverse order and move onto modifying the other side.
