What Is That PS1, PSONE, PlayStation Game With a Purple Devil?
Posted on 07:09 by Unknown
If you are wondering which game you were playing, that is a 3D platform game, that has a purple devil as the main character, when you used your ps1 console back in the day for gaming, i have the answer for you. You have probably forgotten what it is called because of it being a long time playing with your psone games console and you do all your gaming on the new generation consoles.
Well the game is called 'Jersey Devil' that was created in Canada, by developer' Behavior Interactive', which was released in Europe on December 12 1997, in Japan on June 24 1999 and North America on May 31 1998, exclusively made just for the Sony Playstation. The game was well know in its time for the purple character in the game, that allowed the player to control the purple devil, to punch, jump and have gliding powers to fight enemies that came his way, on six amazing areas in the game, which packed hours of nonstop fun, which is why we can't forget the game still today!
Watch the Video provided below to see the gameplay of Jersey Devil and see if its the game you were always wondering about that had a purple devil in it.

How To Fix PS2 Wireless DVD Remote Control Thats Not Working
Posted on 06:26 by Unknown
If you have bought a Sony ps2 DVD remote control to use with your ps2 console to control the DVD playback from the comfort of your own chair and you have setup it up, following the printed out instructions that are provided with the item and it's not working, then it can be frustrating when facing this problem. Today, i was trying to use my old ps2 fat style model, which i found while clearing out my loft and thought instead of it sitting in dust, i should use it as a DVD player for my spare room. So i hooked it up to my spare HD television, using a RGB scart cable and plugged it in. Then I bought an official Sony DVD remote for it, from my local game store and couldn't get it to work with the Playstation. Luckily after 30 minutes, i found a solution to the problem and want to share them with you.
1) First of all, check if there are any batteries inserted into the remote control. Sometimes there are no batteries included already inside the control. If this is the case, then insert fresh batteries into the remote control. Or sometimes the batteries that are supplied with the control in the packaging are dead because of being not used for a long time. Check them with a battery tester to see if they are dead or charged. If they are dead then replace them, if they are not dead, then move onto the other solutions provided below.
2) Check if your ps2 console has a IR sensor because some older first generation fat models don't have them built in. If you have a newer slimline version, then it's not the problem because they all have built in sensors. If you bought a used remote control designed for the ps2 fat and don't have a plug in sensor, then i am afraid you can't use it, unless you find a remote sensor that plugs into the controller port.
3) Make sure that you are using the remote control within 15 feet, if you go out of that distance, it will not communicate with the console, which could be the problem. So try this time to use the remote control closer to the ps2 console and point it towards the direction where the IR sensor is placed.
4) If you tried all the above and still no luck trying to get it to work, then the remote control can be faulty. So your best bet would be to take it back to the store to replace it or buy a brand new one.

Can a PlayStation 2, PS2 Console Play Burned Movie DVDs?
Posted on 06:31 by Unknown
The PlayStation 2 gaming console, also known as the ps2, is still a great gaming machine for some, even though the ps3 is out, because of its cheap price and its classic games, like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Need For Speed Underground, games that you can't forget and won't get bored of.
If you don't have a regular DVD player to play movies you have burned on blank DVD discs you made at home, then thankfully Sony added compatibility to both the ps2 fat and slimline models, allowing the console to play original and burned DVD movies. This is great if you own a ps2 console and don't want to spend money on buying a DVD player, just to watch them on your television. Simply insert the DVD movie into the ps2 disc tray, press the reset button and it will load automatically and the movie will begin to play on your TV. From there, you can use the ps2 controller to navigate through the DVD, just like a regular TV remote. Or if you want a control, with a TV remote look, you can go ahead a purchase the Official ps2 remote control, designed especially for controlling DVD playback on your console, to give you the best movie playback experience you can possibly get.

Why Does a CPU Computer Fan have 3 Wires Pin Connector?
Posted on 10:25 by Unknown
If you hooked computer cooling fans to computers in the past, you have probably come across the well know DC 12 volts type of fans. The type of computer fan that has two wires, a red wire, the positive and the black wire, the negative, which you hook to a 12 volt source and the fan blades, will spin, such as a molex connector, from a computer PSU unit. This type of fan are idea for computer cases, as the 12 volts provided to the fans are highly recommend for that type of application, as their jobs is rapidly bring air into the case and exhaust the hot air inside the case out, from the back and a constant 12 voltage is required for that, to keep the fans constantly spin fast to keep the temperature inside the case nice and cool.
However, a CPU processor 3 pin fan works a little different to that fan. The CPU fan in total has 3 wires, 2 just like a regular 12V DC fan, except the third wire is called the 'tachometer' wire, which is on the third pin on the connector, which is plugged directly into the motherboard. That wire is used by the motherboard to detect the RPM speed the fan is spinning. This is so you can view the speed of the fan in software, such as 'Speedfan', that allows you to monitor the temperature and fan status.
How To Mod a Computer Case Cooling Fan to 7 Volts, Instead of 12 Volts, To Make It Quieter & Less Noisy
Posted on 08:01 by Unknown
If you want to achieve a quieter desktop computer and you can't control the speed of the fan manually through software, such as 'Speedfan', then as an alternative method, you can reduce the voltage the fan gets to 7 volts, instead of 12 volts. This will make the computer fan permanently spin slower, therefore it will create less fan noise. This mod is safe to do, plus it is better than the 5 volt mod because at 5 volts the fan spins really slow, too slow to cooling things down, causing overheating problems and this modification won't damage any components in computer, if you are wondering.
Instructions:
1) Remove the computer fan's connector from the motherboard and snap it off from the middle, as you won't be needing it anymore.
2) Get a wire stripper and remove the plastic insulation coats of the the positive and negative wires from the fan. The computer fan is very likely to have another wire, if it has a 3 pin connector, which is used for the motherboard to detect the rpm speed, you won't need this so cut it off.
3) Find a spare molex connector inside your computer, it's easy to find, it's a connector with 4 pins, that comes out from the power supply. You will see loads of them connected to different stuff, like a hard drive and DVD drives.
4) Once you have found it, cut off two wires that go into the molex connector, which are a yellow wire and a red wire.
5) Once you have done that, remove the insulation coating off both wires and connect the red wire from the fan to the yellow wire and the black wire from the fan to the red wire.
6) Use insulation tape, to tape up exposed braid from the connections you have made, if you don't they can touch other wires and cause damaged to the psu.
How To Fix Sound Crackling Headphones
Posted on 05:47 by Unknown
If you experience crackling, when you are using your pair of headphones to listen to music using your ipod, it can't totally destroy your listening experience, especially if you are an audiophile. The crackling noise is high likely to be heard because of hairs trapped inside the headphone speaker drivers. When the speaker cone moves, the hair will vibrate on the cone and will create a crackling sound to be heard. So what you need to do is to remove the hairs or any dust from the drivers and the problem should no longer occur.
Instructions
1) Connect your headphones to your ipod or any other music device that can power them and send input signal to them.
2) Once you have done that, play a song that you can hear crackling sounds on, using your headphones and turn the volume level loud enough to be heard, when the headphones are placed down. This is so you can tell if you find hairs and remove them, if the crackling problem goes away, without having to wear them.
3) Look inside the ear cup, looking at the material placed onto on the headphone driver in direct sunlight, or in any other well lighted location and get a pair of tweezers ready. Look at the material cloth that is placed in front on the driver. Look for any small hairs caught on the cloth, if you see some, remove them gently with your tweezers carefully, as you don't want to rip the cloth material. Repeat this for the other side.
4) Also get a can of compressed air and give the drivers a quick blast of fresh air. This will blow out any missed hairs you couldn't see and remove dust placed on the drivers.
If you notice that the drivers are still make a crackling sound after you have done the above, then they are damaged. Usually it is because of clipping them for a long period of time, which eventually makes the voice coil become detached from the cone, causing the crackling sound to be heard. So the only way is to get the headphones replaced, if they still have a guarantee, or buy a new pair of headphones.

Can You Change Disable Road Tax To Normal, By Post Office?
Posted on 06:22 by Unknown
If you have bought a vehicle that had a previous owner that was disabled, then they will have a disable road registered on the log book. This is so they can benefit from paying less money for the tax, than we do. If you have bought a car and the owner is disable, if the disabled owner is going to use their disable tax disc on a another car in their name, then they will have the right to remove it from your car. Even if you keep it, you still can't use it and if you get caught, then you are highly likely to pay a fine and have points on your driver's license because you 're not disable and not eligible using it, so it's just to worth taking the risk. If you get caught using it by the Police, it will end up costing you more than getting a normal tax disc, so thinking about it wisely.
To get around this you have to change the disable tax class to normal, so you can get a brand new tax disc that is for private use. You can't go to the Post Office to change the tax class, i was in this situation and i have already tried it. From my experience, you will have to directly go to the nearest DVLA office and bring all your vehicles documents to change it. Then you can retax the car as a normal driver. Just to let you know that it will be more than a disable road tax, so don't get a shock, if the disable owner says he paid less, when you were speaking to him.
