Do You Need Two Copies of a Game For System Link On Xbox 360?

Posted on 15:18 by Unknown

What is System link on Xbox 360?

The Microsoft Xbox 360 console supports system link, which allows you to connect two or more Xbox 360 consoles together to allow players to play the same game on separate television screens. Setting up system link on multiple Xbox 360 consoles is straightforward process. All you really need is one system link cable, if you are connecting two Xbox 360 consoles together and no internet connection is required. If you are connecting three or more Xbox 360 consoles together, then you will need more system link cables. You will be requiring them to connect them into the Ethernet ports of the consoles and the router, making the system link connection active.

Do all Games work with system link?

Only selected games that developers have allowed system link capability will work with system link on your Xbox 360 consoles. Popular games like Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Blur, Halo 4, F1 2012, Project Gotham Racing 4 and Bioshock 2 all support system link. Usually, if you look on the back of the DVD cover, it will say if the game supports system link or not.

Do you need two copies of Xbox 360 games that support system link for each console?

Yes, you require an individual copy of the Xbox 360 game you want to play using the system link feature, Microsoft make more money that way! So you can't share one game with multiple Xbox 360 consoles, leaving you no choice but to purchase separate copies, which can be very costly. So two/three/four Xbox 360 consoles will require two/three/four copies of a system link supported game.
