How To Remove Scratches From My PSP LCD Screen Using Displex Polish

Posted on 10:39 by Unknown

The PSP console's front faceplate covers the main internal LCD screen of the portable gaming device. This protects the main screen from getting damaged or scratched during use. Using your PSP on a daily basis, will cause the outer screen to become scratched and they will be clearly visible in direct sunlight. Most gamers who are concerned about this issue, will apply a plastic peelable screen protector beforehand onto the outer screen to prevent it getting permanently scratched. If you are bothered about the scratches seen on your PSP screen, you can polish them out using 'Displex' polish. It contains special cleaning ingredients that when polished in, it will buff out light surface scratches out. Not only can it be used for your PSP screen, it can also be used on mobile phones and tablets. Though bear in mind that if the scratches are really deep that you can feel them grooved in the screen, your best bet is to replace the front faceplate with a brand new one because they will not fade out using the polish method. It will be a waste of money and time.

1) The polish that you are going to use to buff out the scratches off the screen will come in a small red color tube. So remove the protective cap from the top of it, then give the tube a squeeze and apply lots of polish onto a lint free soft cloth. This is the best type of cloth for this restoration because it is dust free and won't cause more scratches to appear on the screen. Don't use a regular tissue paper from the box because that will cause more scratches to appear.

2) Using the side the polish is applied onto the cloth, place it on the outer screen, found on the front faceplate and rub it in rapidly in circular motions continuously for a minimum of 5 minutes. Don't give up polishing within a few minutes because it simply won't work that great. During this process, the polish will be rubbed into the screen's plastic and will eventually be buffed out.

3) Once you have removed the scratches completely and they are no longer visible, replace the plastic cap onto the Displex polish tube to prevent it drying out. This is ideal to do because you can use it next time when you want to remove scratches off the PSP screen or other devices such as your mobile phone or tablet.
