You want to ensure that your TV is on the same TV mode as the label shows. So lets say if the cable is connected into 'HDMI-1' socket, you want to use the remote control to find and select the 'HDMI-1' mode on your television.

Instructions on how to reset the video settings on your Xbox 360 Console
1) Remove any game disc currently inserted in your Xbox console.
2) Power off your Xbox console.
3) Grab your controller and power on your console by pressing down the 'Guide Button'.
4) Immediately when you see the console starting, press the 'Y' button and press the 'Right' trigger at the same time and don't let go.
5) The console will reset the current display settings back to factory default and will it restart.
