How To Insert Micro SD Memory Card In Nokia 5233

Posted on 11:59 by Unknown

The Nokia 5233 supports a official maximum memory card size of up to 16 GB. The type of memory card that the phone supports is 'Micro SD'. It is possible to insert a 32 GB Micro SD memory card, but the phone will become really slow to use and will hang often. When choosing a Micro SD memory card, ensure that you choose a good manufacturer like Sandisk or Kingston. Cheap unbranded memory cards have very poor performance and stop working after awhile.

1) Power off your mobile phone before proceeding any further. This is because you don't want to corrupt the data on the memory card.

2) Turn the phone upside down and remove the back battery cover. The best way to do this is to insert your finger nail at the bottom grove and gradually pull it off.

3) Once you have removed the rear battery cover, you will see a Micro SD slot located on the top right hand side.

4) Obtain your Micro SD memory card and carefully insert it into the Micro SD slot on the handset. Be careful not to put in the wrong way round or push it in forcefully. This is because it will either become stuck or will snap, so handle it with extreme care.

5) If the Micro SD memory card is inserted correctly in the slot, you will hear a click sound and it will lock in place. Now all you have to do is refit the battery cover you remove earlier on.

How To Hard Reset Nokia 6700 Normal & Slide Models

Posted on 11:33 by Unknown

If you are planning on selling your Nokia 6700 mobile phone or its running really slow, you should consider performing a hard reset. A hard reset will restore the device back to factory default settings and will also delete all stored files on the mass memory. This including applications, games, music files, images, video clips, contacts and messages. So it is certainly ideal to make a back up of your content via Nokia PC Suite and restore it later on, if the data is important to you. This hard reset trick works for both Nokia 6700 classic and slider style mobile phones.

1) Ensure that the battery is at least more than half charged. Insert a sim card of your choice and power on your mobile phone.

2) Once its landed on the home screen, enter the following reset code into the dialer keypad '*#7370#'.

3) You will now be asked to enter the security code so enter '12345'.

4) The reset will be processing and your phone will restart when completed.

Does The Nokia 5233 Have a WiFi Connection Setting?

Posted on 13:16 by Unknown

So i just bought a Nokia 5233 and i have a wireless router, can i connect onto the internet using WiFi?

Unfortunately, when Nokia manufactured the 5233, they didn't include integrated WiFi compatibility, along with no 3G network support. The reason why is because this particular mobile phone model was aimed for people on a low budget. That is why it didn't contain both wireless and 3G features to keep production costs down, so it can be priced to the public cheaply. Also just to make it clear, there is no applications or software updates that you can install to add them features.

So if you want a similar mobile phone that has both WiFi and 3G options, i would recommend to you the Nokia 5800. It overall has better features, including a 3.2 megapixel camera, stereo speakers and supports GPS. But the price of purchasing a Nokia 5800 is far more than the Nokia 5233, due to having better specifications.

How To Make a Nokia 5230/5233 Run More Faster

Posted on 12:41 by Unknown

The Nokia 5233 is a still a superior mobile phone still today, even though it was released back in January 2010. Some of its specifications include a 3.2 inch TFT resistive touchscreen, a 2 megapixel camera and micro SD slot that supports up to 16GB cards. These phones are very cheaply priced because of their old age and still provide you will decent features, so you really can't go wrong. If you own a Nokia 5233 mobile phone and you find that it is running really slow, check out the tips provided below to help speed things up.

1) Upgrade the existing official firmware to special custom firmware. There are many developers working on producing custom firmware that contain more features and tweaks than stock firmware. This will include a faster processor clock speed, a faster responding touchscreen and optimized ram usage. Currently Symbian Belle & Anna is the most popular CFW that is being widely installed on many Nokia devices and definitely provides far better performance over stock.

2) Delete any unused content stored onto the phone or inserted memory card. This is because if you have tons of unused files stored on your device, it will place more strain on the processor and ram. The fewer files you have, more system resources will become available and will provide a slight boost in performance.

3) Don't leave multiple application or games running in the background. This is because it will take up more ram memory up, so less ram is available towards running the Symbian operating system to its full potential. This can also cause the battery life on your device to become shorter. So remember to close any apps or games that you are not using on your handset.

4) Don't have animated screensavers or backgrounds applied on your home screen. This is because animated files tend to have a very large file size and eat up lots of ram when running all the time. They may look cool on your mobile phone, but if you want to gain the most performance you can possibly get, its best to avoid using them all together.

Posted on 13:19 by Unknown

If you own a Nokia N95 either the normal version or the 8GB model, you may want to perform a reset to restore the phone settings back to factory default. This is ideal to perform on your device, especially if you are selling it on to somebody else or you have accidentally made some changes to important settings. To reset your Nokia N95 to factory default settings, no special software or cables are required. All you need to do is enter a special secret code into the keypad and the reset will be carried out. Also don't worry about losing all your data with this reset method. This is because its a soft reset, so none of your existing data stored on your device will be deleted. So it is not necessary for you to make a back up of your important data on your computer because you are not going to lose it!

1) Hold down the power button to switch on the device.

2) Once the mobile phone is on the home screen, slide out the bottom keyboard and enter the following factory reset code'*#7780#'. If it asks your for a lock code its '12345'.

How To Turn Off & Disable Startup Tone On Any Nokia Phone

Posted on 12:50 by Unknown

Nokia has always included a unique start up sound, which is followed by two people shaking hands, along with the Nokia logo. Nokia have included the startup tone for decades on wide range of different devices, including the trusty old 6230i. Some people might like hearing this tone every time you power on your phone and others may find it annoying. Thankfully, when Nokia included the statup tone feature on handsets, they included an option which allows you to disable the start up sound. So technically yes it is possible to permanently get rid of the Nokia start up sound if you prefer.

1) Switch on your mobile phone. Once booted onto the home screen, press the middle button to enter into the 'Main Menu'.

2) From the 'Main Menu' select 'Settings'. The settings option has a small logo of a 'Spanner' that it is represented by, that you can use to help you find it.

3) A variety of settings will now appear in a list format onscreen. Keep going down this list until you see 'Phone' settings. Once you have found the 'Phone' setting option, select it to enter into it and expand its features.

4) Then keep going through the list of more options until you see the option called 'Start-up tone'. It should say beside it 'On' if you can currently hear the tone. Now to deactivate it, press the middle button and select 'Off'. If successfully done, a confirmation message will appear onscreen saying 'Start-up tone off'.

How To Remove Mobile Network Logo From Phone Housing

Posted on 07:34 by Unknown

Mobile phone network providers add a network branding logo on the actual cover of the phone, to help them market there network across the public. The carrier logo is usually placed either on the front or rear fascia of the mobile phone. Along with the annoying network operator logo, the phones firmware will also have networking branding in the menus and at start up screens. This can be removed by flashing the mobile phone with non branded firmware. The network logo on the actual phone can also be removed if necessarily required. The network logo is stamped on quite well, so the best solution would be to use turpentine to remove it. I have already tried it on my Blackberry and iphone and have verified that it does work. This cleaning solution contains active ingredients that remove all kinds of paint and works brilliantly for permanently removing all kinds of operator logos.

1) Locate the network logo that you want to remove on your device. Then use masking tape, to tape off the area around it completely. This will prevent the turpentine solution to spread around the logo and onto other areas of the phone cover.

2) Unscrew the protective cap from the bottle of turpentine. Turn the cap around and pour a sensible amount of the cleaning solution into the cap. Then obtain a cotton swab and dab one side into the turpentine liquid in the cap.

3) Using the wet side of the cotton swab, place it directly onto the network logo and rub rapidly in circular motions continuously. Regularly check to see how much progress you are making with removing the logo. Stop rubbing the network logo when it has faded away, if you continue rubbing further, you might fade away the paint on the cover and destroy the color!

How To Fix a Amp That Goes Into Protection Mode

Posted on 03:08 by Unknown

All car amplifier manufacturers will integrate a protection circuit to protect the internal circuitry from getting damaged if a problem occurs. An car amplifier can go into protect mode when the volume on the head unit is turned up almost to its maximum level or can continuously be in protection mode regardless of the volume level. Most car amplifiers will have a red color 'LED' protection light to inform you that it's being protected. There are many reasons why this problem can occur to your amp, so check out the solutions provided to help your overcome it.

1) Check if the fuse is blown out. If the fuse on the car amplifier is blown out, it will prevent it from functioning and immediately will put it into protect mode. So look on the sides of your car amp and locate the blade fuse. Once you have located it, grab it from the middle and pull it outwards to release it from the holder. Look in the middle of the fuse, if the small is wire snapped or looks burnt, the fuse is blown out and needs replacing with a fuse of the same amps.

2) Check if any speakers wires connected are shorting each other out. Locate the speaker wires that are connected into the terminals on your enclosure and amp. Ensure that they are not loose and that the copper braids are not touching each other.

3) Check if the RCA leads are firmly connected. RCA leads are used to feed the amp with input signal from the car stereo. If they are connected loosely, it can cause the amplifier to see it as a major problem, so it will purposely put itself stuck into protect mode. So check that the RCA jacks are connected firmly into both the amp and headunit RCA sockets.

4) Check the grounding is solid. If you have grounded your amplifier to a weak spot, the amp will not be getting sufficient current to operate on. So recheck your ground wire, sand down the spot with sandpaper and ensure that it is connected onto a bare metal. This will provide the best conductivity with the car chassis.

5) Upgrade to power and ground wire that is a large gauge size. If your car amplifier only goes into protection mode when you turn up the volume really high, it is because the car amp can't get enough current to circulate around its electrical components. This is because the current power and ground wires you are using are below the required gauge wire size. So check out the user manual for your amp, find out what is the recommended gauge size is for both power and ground wires and buy a new amp wiring kit according to spec.

How To Fix a Dented Subwoofer Dust Cap At Home

Posted on 12:39 by Unknown

Subwoofers will have a circle shaped dust cap placed in the middle of the cone to protect the voice coil from getting dusty and dirt getting trapped inside. The dust cap is only cosmetic, if it is squashed in, it will not affect its performance or reduce sound quality in any way. Subwoofer dust caps are made from paper and are easily dented if pressed in my accident. If this has happened to your speaker, you can easily repair it yourself and restore it back to its original state.

1) You will require a vacuum cleaner to suck up the dent in the dust cap to bring the squashed part back out. This is the best way to restore it because you don't have to remove the glue and re glue it back on to repair it. So connect the vacuum cleaner into a wall outlet and switch it on. Then remove the current hoover attachment and connect the plastic pointy nozzle attachment.

2) Point the nozzle towards the middle of the dented area of the dust cap and switch on the vacuum cleaner. The suction power created by the hoover will suck out the squashed part and will pop it back out. You may want to increase the suction power, if the dent on the dust cap is not easily removable the first time.

How To Get More Bass From Car 6X9 Speakers

Posted on 10:19 by Unknown

6x9 car speakers have great potential to play subwoofer like bass because of the large cone area they have. They are straightforward to install in your car and don't take any trunk space up like with installing big subwoofer enclosures. Not only do 6x9 speakers have great bass response, but they also have integrated tweeters mounted in the middle to provide crisp treble. If you seem that your current 6X9 speakers in your car don't have enough bass, you might want to consider the following solutions that are provided.

1) Place the 6X9 speakers in a enclosure. Most people that are into car audio fit 6x9 speakers into the rear parcel shelf. However, fitting them both into a prefab 6x9 enclosure will increase the bass response because it allows the bass sound to duplicate. You can fit your 6x9 speakers into prefab enclosures and place them on top of the rear car seats or on the parcel shelf.

2) Tweak around with the equalizer on your head unit. If your head unit is aftermarket, it will have an equalizer setting which will allow you to increase the amount of bass. Each frequency listed in the equalizer will have the options to increase or decrease DB levels. What you want to do is increase the DB level for the '60'HZ' frequency to the maximum level for maximum bass response.

3) Amp up your 6x9 speakers. Powering your 6X9 speakers directly from the integrated amplifier in your car stereo will not provide sufficient power to drive the speakers to their full potential. Hooking up a 2 channel amplifier to your 6x9 speakers will provide you with stronger bass response and more volume. With installing a amplifier, you also have the option to switch on the low pass filter, set it to '80HZ' to filter out the midrange and high frequencies, so they only play boom boom sound like a sub.

How To Remove a Speaker Grill Cover From a Car Speaker

Posted on 12:47 by Unknown

Most car speakers are fitted with an mesh speaker grill to protect the speaker cone from getting damaged and prevent dirt to build up from everyday use. The speaker grill is made from a metal called aluminum and can be removed if you want to see the speaker cone. You might want to consider doing this if the speaker cone matches the color of your ride or if you want to see how much excursion the speaker cone can produce. If you decide to remove the speaker grill from the speaker, you can reattach the speaker grill back on, all you have to do is reverse the process.

1) A speaker grill is held in place on top of the speaker using screws. So you will need to remove all 4 screws located in each corner. So get a Philips head screwdriver and remove all 4 screws. Once you have removed them all, you might want to place them into a small plastic container so you don't loose them.

2) Now that the screws holding the speaker grill are removed, the speaker grill can now move freely because there is nothing holding it downwards. So using both hands, grab both sides of the speaker grill and carefully push it upwards to detach it.

3) Now that the speaker grill is removed because you removed its screws, the speaker will now have nothing to hold it down. This can cause the speaker to move about when you are driving your car with the music bumping loud, which can causing rattling sounds to occur. So insert all 4 screws you remove earlier on back into there screws holes and using your Philips head screwdriver, tighten each individual screw to eliminate this problem.
