How To Restore Nokia N95 8GB To Factory Settings

Posted on 13:19 by Unknown

If you own a Nokia N95 either the normal version or the 8GB model, you may want to perform a reset to restore the phone settings back to factory default. This is ideal to perform on your device, especially if you are selling it on to somebody else or you have accidentally made some changes to important settings. To reset your Nokia N95 to factory default settings, no special software or cables are required. All you need to do is enter a special secret code into the keypad and the reset will be carried out. Also don't worry about losing all your data with this reset method. This is because its a soft reset, so none of your existing data stored on your device will be deleted. So it is not necessary for you to make a back up of your important data on your computer because you are not going to lose it!

1) Hold down the power button to switch on the device.

2) Once the mobile phone is on the home screen, slide out the bottom keyboard and enter the following factory reset code'*#7780#'. If it asks your for a lock code its '12345'.

3) If entered correctly, the device will now be in the process of being completely reset. Once the factory settings have been restored, the mobile phone will restart asking you to enter the date and time.
