If you don't have a home or car charger, but if you have the TomTom sat nav dock/cradle, you can connect your sat nav onto it and charge it using your computer. If you don't have a TomTom dock, then i suggest you buy a cheap mini usb cable because it is much cheaper than buying the dock. Once you have the dock, or mini usb cable, follow the instructions given below, they can be used for both computers and laptops:
1)Connect your TomTom to the dock, this is by inserting it onto the mini usb connector on the dock. If your using a mini usb cable, plug the cable into the mini usb socket found on the bottom of the TomTom.
2)Then connect the usb connector in a spare usb socket on your computer, that can be found on the front and rear of your compute or laptop.
3)Make sure you're TomTom is turned off, this is so it doesn't drain battery charge, during charging.
4)Power on your computer, a green light will be lighted up and the TomTom will be charging up from the 5 volts that is provided by the usb.
