Possible Android CDD compliance issue

Posted on 08:52 by Unknown
A USB device was detected in Linux, but was not exposed via the Android USB Host API.  Section 7.7 of the Android Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) states:
If a device implementation includes a USB host port:
  • ...
  • it MUST implement the Android USB hostAPI as documented in the AndroidSDK, and MUST declare support for the hardware feature

Solution:

Contact the device manufacturer and ask if they are are compliant with this section of the CCD.
