- A "?" here means that OTG Troubleshooter does not support OTG cable detection for this device. Supported devices include Nexus 7 (All models) and Nexus 10.
- An "X" means that no OTG device is detected.
Solutions:
- Get an OTG cable. Charge/data cables with USB couplers generally will not work!
- Connect the OTG cable. If there is a "?", make sure the OTG has a flash/pen drive or card reader attached.
- Try another OTG cable. There are many OTG cables of questionable quality out there. Some that work in one device will not work in another.
- Power Off and Restart the device.
- Press and hold the Power button until you see "Power Off"
- Release the Power button.
- Tap Ok
- After shutdown, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Restart OTG Troubleshooter
Alternate Test:
Another simple way to verify a cable is good/compatible is to connect a USB mouse or keyboard to the OTG. A mouse pointer will show up if connecting a mouse. You should be able to type on the keyboard in apps like email.
