Samsung has included a feature on the D600, which allows the owner of the handset to add a security password to prevent other people using the phone to gain access to personal messages and multimedia content, such as music, videos and images. However, if you have added a password code accidentally or you have forgotten what it is, you are basically locked out of using certain content on the phone. This can be a very problematic situation, but don't worry because there is a clever & free way to remove the password, without actually sending it to the manufacturer to deal with.
IMPORTANT: Before performing this operation, back up all content that is stored onto the phones memory onto a external micro SD memory card because it will all be deleted after completion.
1) Ensure that your Samsung D600 is powered on.
2) Slide up the slider and enter the following code into the keypad '*2767*2878#'.
3) Once entered correctly, the mobile phone will proceed with resetting the password, as well as formatting all content that is stored onto the phones mass memory.
4) If successful, the mobile phone will restart and the password code feature will be removed.
