How To Take Off & Remove Xbox 360 Front Faceplate

Posted on 06:39 by Unknown

The front faceplate that is attached to your original Xbox 360 console is removable, but if you have the slim version, you can't remove it. If you own the original Xbox 360 console, its straightforward to remove and no torx screwdrivers or special opening tools are required. You may want to remove the front faceplate on your Xbox 360 console if it is cracked or you might want to replace it with a customized faceplate. So to help you remove the faceplate on your Xbox 360 successfully without breaking anything, follow the instructions that are provided below for your disassembly guidance.

1) Power off the console and disconnect all cables that are connected at the rear of the Xbox 360 console. Also remove any devices that are connected into the USB ports or memory card ports, found on the front of the console.

2) If your Xbox 360 console is standing up, place it down horizontally because it will make it easier for you to grip the console.

3) Using one hand, grab the console firmly down and use the other hand and place your fingers into the USB port flap. With some force, pull the faceplate away from the Xbox 360 console, while holding down the Xbox 360 firmly down and it will remove itself from the console.
