How To Lower The Tuning On a Ported Subwoofer Enclosure

Posted on 02:27 by Unknown

The great thing about a ported design subwoofer enclosure is that you can adjust the tuned frequency of it; this is by increasing or decreasing the length of the port. In general, the longer the length of the port is, the more deeper bass you are going to achieve from your sub. If you like loud sounding bass, you would increase the tuning above 40Hz for maximum spl with little sound quality. If you want to feel bass and make the subwoofer play lower bass frequencies, an ideal tuning would be 30Hz. Before adjusting the length of the port, make sure the subwoofer is recommend by the manufacturer, to make sure it can play the frequencies that you want to tune the box. Usually this kind of information is stated in the user manual of the subwoofer.

Thanks to modern development, other people have made it easier for people like us to work out the exact length of the port according to your chosen bass frequency. I found a few websites that helped me tune the port on my own ported subwoofer enclosure and i found them quick and easy to use. These port calculators tell you the exact length on what you need to cut off, or increase on the port, according to your chosen frequency. I have listed them below; this is so you can save time and let the calculators calculate the port length for you:

How To Turn Off Camera Flash Light On a Nokia X6

Posted on 02:10 by Unknown

If you are taking photos and you don't want the camera flash to be turned on because you can see it in the photo that you have taken, this will reduce the quality of the photo taken. When Nokia created the Nokia x6 camera settings, they didn't include an option that allows users to turn on and turn off the camera flash light on a Nokia X6 and it is the same with the Nokia n97 and 5800. But there is still i have an alliterative to turn it off. When i was playing around with the camera modes, i checked them all out to see their qualities. I noticed that when i switch the camera into night mode, the camera does not use the camera flash light. So you can select night mode if you don't want the light to appear and deselect when you want it to appear. So people it is possible!

How To Fix NAT Router is Too Strict In GTA IV For PS3

Posted on 01:47 by Unknown

If you are attempting to play Grand Theft Auto IV online on your ps3 console, some people will get the message displayed on their TV screen that says 'NAT router too strict' and then the game disconnected from the internet. This can be annoying because you get ready to play online with your friends and then you get cut off. The reason why that error can occur is because there are ports on the router that are blocking incoming and outcoming traffic. Most routers that are from the factory have the ports blocked, so you will have to open up the ports yourself. See you user manual for specific instructions on how to open up ports on a router, as different brand and models have different instructions.

You don't need to open all the ports for gta IV, you just need to open the ports that are listed below:

UDP ports; 6672 8900
TCP ports: 8001 27900

If you are struggling and finding it difficult to open the ports on your router, i have an educational tutorial video that shows you how to open ports on a router, you might find it useful:

Is It Free To Relist a Car On EBAY If Not Sold Or Paid For?

Posted on 03:28 by Unknown

If you have inserted your car in Ebay as a auction only and it didn't sell or a buyer has not paid cash for it, then there are chances that it will be free if you reinsert it into Ebay as a auction again, but only within 90 days of the first auction ending. It will be only free if you keep it as a auction again and don't change the style of the way the auction is set out. So if you decide to change it to a classified ad, you will be charged for the auction and the classified add separately. To gain the free relist auction, on the top of the page of your car, it will say 'Relist', in a button, click that and relist your auction again for free. If you relist the auction a different way, you may not qualify for the free auction. Remember that your car has to sell the in the second auction that you have re-listed or you will be charged for it the insertion fee. So my advice is to add a good title, along with high resolution images and descriptive text about the car you want to sell, to enhance the bidding opportunity of your car.

How To Make PS3 WiFi Signal Stronger, Make Your Own Booster!

Posted on 02:53 by Unknown

The ps3 can be used to gain internet access wirelessly. If you are having problems gaining signal and finding your access point because the wireless router is placed in a far location from the ps3 console, you can make the ps3 pick up the Wi-Fi signal more stronger and make it find more access points. The antenna inside the PlayStation 3 console is placed internally on the right hand side, so if you stand your ps3 console vertically on the left side of the ps3 edge, the antenna will make your access point signal stronger and could also make it find more access points because the antenna is upright. To gain more signal, i would suggest you to place the ps3 console in a higher location because the more higher it is placed, the less chance of the antenna get interference, which can cause a reduction in signal strength.

If placing your console in the vertical position in a high location will not make any improvement on making the Wi-Fi signal more stronger and enhanced, then grab hold of a Coke can and a blade. With these two things, you can construct a ps3 Wi-Fi booster.

Using a blade, cut off the top off the Coke can off carefully, make sure you don’t cut your hands. Next cut down the sides of the Coke can and then spread out the divisions, making it look like the shape of the blades on a computer fan, it will look like some sort of flower shape when you are finished. Then make a hole that has the same diameter as the antenna on the wireless router. Then push the Coke can onto the wireless router antenna. Doing this will result in your ps3 console to get a boost in a signal reception range by 15%.

How To Use The Fan Test On a PS3 Slim To Clean It

Posted on 02:10 by Unknown

The PlayStation 3 if a powerful gaming console that can get really dust inside, if this happens, the console can overheat because dust can block air ventilation. Thankfully, Sony made a fan test, this allows people to clean the ps3 console internally, without having to open it up and void the warranty. Many people claim that the fan test is bad for the ps3 console, which is not true because the fan test is actually safe because it is helping the console blow out all the dust from the rear air vents.

Instructions On How To Do The Fan Test On a PlayStation 3 Console:

1)Turn off the console.

2)Then remove the electrical outlet cord from the ps3 console, this is found on the rear of the ps3 slim console.

3)Hold down the eject button, found at the front of the console and also insert the electrical outlet cord into the ps3 slim console.

4)The ps3 slim will command itself to carry out the fan test. When it is finished, the console will automatically power off.

How To Make a Turbo Charger Inside a Car Engine Last Longer

Posted on 03:33 by Unknown

If you want the turbo charger inside your car's engine to last longer because you don't want to spend loads of money on repairing or replacing it, there are ways to do that. A brand new turbo charger can cost more than £500, which is without the fitting cost. So if i were you i would to what i can to increase the lifespan of the turbo.

1)The first 30 seconds when you start the car engine when it is cold, you can cause damage to the turbo charger. So you need to make sure that the turbo charger is lubricated with the required amount of oil around the bearings found inside the turbo charger. To make sure that happens, when you start your car up, leave the engine running for at least 30 seconds. Also reduce the amount of boost the turbo charger produces when you start to drive your car, this can be done by having a boost control to tweak down the boost pressure. Lowering the boost pressure enhances the oil pressure at the beginning of driving your car; this will make sure the bearings get lubricated and make the engine run sweet.

2)When you have finished driving your car and you switch off the engine immediately, the turbo will be at a hot temperature, so don’t make it go hungry for oil and water. To prevent this from happening to it, when you park your car up, leave the engine running for 4 minutes before you turn it off. If you do this you will make the water and oil reach to the turbo charger more effectively because they will be pumped round the blowers, as the turbo reaches a cool temperature.

3)Make sure you use proper oil for your car engine, the turbo gets really hot after hard work, if you pop the hood you can see it glowing bright orange. So always use quality oil, the two that I will recommend you to use is either semi-synthetic or fully synthetic, the choice is up to you. Also make sure that the oil is changed on a regular basis, at least every 6000 miles your car does. If it is not changed, the oil will be dirty and that dirt can get in contact with the bearing inside the turbo charger. So make sure you regularly top the engine up with fresh quality oil, including an oil filter change.

4)Make sure the remap on the ecu has correct fuel and ignition timings when you are increasing the boost of the turbo charger to gain more power. Wrong times can cause too much air to be force into the motor; this can cause the air and fuel to mix not mix correctly. This can cause damage to the turbo charger and the pistons, so get your car on a dyno, so you can make 100% they are correct. From the dyno run print out, you can find out if the mixture of air and fuel needs to be adjusted.

5)Make sure you have a dump/blow valve fitted with the turbo charger because this prevents the turbo compressor wheel to stall, when you change into different gears. A dump/blow valve is fitted so it releases excess pressure that is produced in the turbo pipe, this will also help towards increase the life span of the turbo charger.
