The ps3 can be used to gain internet access wirelessly. If you are having problems gaining signal and finding your access point because the wireless router is placed in a far location from the ps3 console, you can make the ps3 pick up the Wi-Fi signal more stronger and make it find more access points. The antenna inside the PlayStation 3 console is placed internally on the right hand side, so if you stand your ps3 console vertically on the left side of the ps3 edge, the antenna will make your access point signal stronger and could also make it find more access points because the antenna is upright. To gain more signal, i would suggest you to place the ps3 console in a higher location because the more higher it is placed, the less chance of the antenna get interference, which can cause a reduction in signal strength.
If placing your console in the vertical position in a high location will not make any improvement on making the Wi-Fi signal more stronger and enhanced, then grab hold of a Coke can and a blade. With these two things, you can construct a ps3 Wi-Fi booster.
Using a blade, cut off the top off the Coke can off carefully, make sure you don’t cut your hands. Next cut down the sides of the Coke can and then spread out the divisions, making it look like the shape of the blades on a computer fan, it will look like some sort of flower shape when you are finished. Then make a hole that has the same diameter as the antenna on the wireless router. Then push the Coke can onto the wireless router antenna. Doing this will result in your ps3 console to get a boost in a signal reception range by 15%.
