If your Nokia n97 is coming up with a message that says 'Not enough memory to perform operation', or something similar, it is because the memory is full. If the Nokia n97 has got no free space on the memory, then it can't store data on the memory. So simply delete some unwanted data off the memory and the problem should be resolved.
If you have deleted unwanted files off the memory and there is still not enough memory to perform the operation, i suggest you format the memory. To format the memory, go to 'File manager' select the memory which you want to format, by going into the root of it and select 'Options' and select 'Format mass memory'. Formatting usually fixes most not enough memory problems on many Nokia n97 mobile phones that i have come across.
If formatting doesn’t solve the problem, update the firmware of the Nokia n97 to the latest up-to-date version. The current firmware that your Nokia n97 is currently running is probably damaged.
