A smoke alarm detector is a small device that can be mounted on the ceilings in your house, this is so it can detect smoke from a house fire immediately, to warn you there is a fire in your house and to alert you to call the fire engine and get out of the building soon as possible, to save your life. A fire alarm detector is usually powered by a 9 volt square shaped battery inside the plastic casing. It is recommend by most fire alarm experts, to test your fire alarm at least once a week, to ensure that the battery is not dead, as if there is a fire in your house and the battery is dead, the smoke alarm wont detect smoke from the fire and wont beep out loud, to alert you.
