A turbo boost gauge is fitted into a mountable pod and is placed on the dashboard of a car, sometimes there is no need to add aftermarket boost gauge and pod, as some cars already have them in the cluster from the factory. The turbo boost gauge shows how much boost the turbo charger is producing, when you are driving your car. The turbo boost gauge is usually connected in line with the turbo's vacuum line, or can be also connected to the ecu unit, to measure psi. When the turbo charger spools up, the needle on the turbo gauge will move upwards and it will point to how much psi (boost pressure) the turbo charger is producing. Most people tend to install a boost gauge into their car because of increased boost pressure of the turbo charger, more boost pressure, than stock, from a boost controller. Having a boost gauge will alert you to ensure that excessive pressure is not being generated by the turbo charger. A turbo boost gauge measures how much air pressure the turbo charger produces in "Psi" or "Bar" read out.
