Many are aware that both the ps2 fat and slimline have backward compatibility with ps1 games, this means that you can play your old classics, without owning a psone console. When you get to a point in a ps1 game that will take you ages to reach it again, if you played the game again, it is ideal to save the progress you have made onto a memory card.
Instructions:
1)Insert a Playstation 1 memory card into the "Memory Card" flap located on the front of the console, above the controller port. Please note that you can't use a ps2 memory card to save ps1 games onto it, i have tried it and it won't work, so don't bother because you will be wasting your time.
2)Power on your ps2 console and insert your ps1 game, then reset it, the ps1 game will automatically load, if not, you can find it at the "Browser" screen.
3)When you want to save your progress made in the ps1 game, select the memory card and it will be saved.
