If you have no sound from car speakers, when you use the Ripspeed 720 in car dvd head unit, below are tips to help you troubleshoot and resolve this kind of problem:
)If you have a Ripspeed 720 in car dvd player and you get no sound from the car speakers, then make sure the volume knob is turned up. I know that nearly everybody knows that you have to increase the volume knob to get a louder sound from car speakers, but the volume control on most Ripspeed car head units are poor. I had a Ripspeed in the past, it was the one with a 3 inch screen and if the volume level is placed at 15 there is still no sound.
)Remove your Ripspeed in car dvd player from the car's dashboard, this is so you can inspect the speaker wiring. Make sure that you have connected the speaker wires correctly, with correct polarity, also making sure they are not touching each other. If you are running a car amplifier to run your car speakers, make sure the rca cables and remote wire are connected securely on the car amplifier and wiring harness. Also check if the car amplifier is powering on, if not, check the ground and power wire.
)Make sure that the speaker wires have not come out of the wiring harness. Sometimes the small pins can slip out, so unplug the harness from the car head unit and make sure every pin on each speaker wire is not loose.
)Make sure that the 'Brown' color wire has insulation tape on the braid. This is because the brown wire mutes sound, if it get in contact with anything that is metal, it will mute the sound because it acts as a ground. So gets some cheap electrical insulation tape and tape up the exposed braid.
