A subwoofer enclosure is constructed from mdf, a type of wood that is affordable and works great for building a custom enclosure for your sub. If your subwoofers are above 1000 watts rms and are also tuned below 33Hz, they will move loads of air, things will vibrate and so will the enclosure. Bracing is used internally, when creating a subwoofer enclosure for multiple subwoofers placed in the same box. Its job is to keep the box braced and to make it stronger, durable and to prevent it from flexing, when the bass kicks in. People brace there subwoofer enclosure by cutting a rectangular shape from mdf wood and then place it in the middle of box, making sure the brace is supporting the 3 sides of the box.
