How To Soft Reset a Nokia 5800 To Factory Settings, Using a Reset Code

If you want to soft reset your Nokia 5800 to factory settings, this can be done by entering a soft reset code into the handset.

1)Make sure the battery is charged, if the battery has no power, leave it on charge and power it on, using the power from the charger.

2)Power on the mobile phone, once it is on, enter the following soft reset code in the dialer screen: *#7370#.

3)Once you have entered that reset code into your Nokia 5800, it will then ask for the default security code password, which is 12345, unless you have changed it.

4)Once entered that, the phone the reset will be confirmed, when the reset is completed, the phone will reboot and will ask you to enter the time and date.
