If you notice that your car subwoofer is not loud enough for you, then take these tips into consideration:
)Is the car amplifier that your using to power your car subwoofer matching the rms rating of the car subwoofer? To get the best bass performance from your car subwoofer, you should always match the car subwoofer's rms power, with the car amplifier you are going to use to power it.
)Is your car amplifier tuned to the Hz tuning frequency the car subwoofer enclosure tuned to?
)Your gain maybe set to low, so tuning the gain control on the car amplifier, for optimal sound and bass performance.
)If you have a car ported subwoofer enclosure and the tuning frequency is below 30Hz, then increase the tuning frequency above 40Hz, by adjusting the port area and length. In general, the more lower you tune the subwoofer enclosure, the more you can feel the sound, instead of hearing the sound. So increasing the frequency tuning on the box, will make it sound louder, trust me it is good advice to take on board!
)Reduce the ohm load on your amplifier. The less the ohm load is, the less electrical resistance, which means your car subwoofer will gain more power from your car amplifier.
)If you are powering only one car subwoofer, then you can bridge the car amplifier from more power. Before bridging your car amp, check if the manufacturer says it is OK to bridge the amp, by looking at the specifications online, or in the user guide manual.
