1)What can happen is the firmware on your Nokia n82 can become bricked or damaged. When firmware is damaged or bricked, the Nokia n82 will not operate correctly, which can be the cause a white screen to be displayed and hang on the screen. Bad firmware can occur on the Nokia n82 if the device was lost connection during a firmware update or when it was in a process of flashing. To resolve this issue, you will need to reinstall the firmware, this can be done by re flashing your mobile phone's firmware
2)If the firmware is not the problem, then i suggest you check the connector that connects the screen to the circuit board. Sometimes it can become loose, which can cause the connector to not fit firmly into the socket, which can cause the Nokia n82 to display a white screen, so it is worth dissembling your phone to check if the connector is the problem.
3)If the connector is not the problem, then the screen could be damaged, so replace the screen.
