If you have a petrol lawnmower, you can maintain it on a regular basis to increase the life span of it and reduce the chances of it breaking down on you. On average, if you use your lawnmower all year round, you will need to apply maintenance to it at least twice a year.
What you need to maintain on your petrol lawnmower:
1)Change oil in the lawnmower twice a year.
2)When the petrol mover is not operating, you will need to turn the lawnmower sideways, so you can get access to the underside. Once you have got access to the underside, using a wire brush remove dirt, grass, and other excess that is on the blade.
3)Locate the air filter and remove it from a lawnmower engine. Wash the air filter, this is by rinsing it under warm water and then wipe it dry with a soft towel and then replace the air filter back into the lawnmower engine.
4)Locate the spark plugs and remove them from the lawnmower engine, give them a wipe with a tissue and replace them back into the lawnmower engine.
