If you own a Nintendo dsi and when you attempt to power on the console, does it fail to turn on? If yes is the answer, this problem can be caused because the battery pack is not getting charged. If the battery is not get charged up, then how is the dsi going to retrieve power in order to make the console power on.
If your Nintendo dsi is not charging, then below are some solutions that you can apply to resolve the not charging problem:
1)Inspect the charger you use to charge the dsi console, look at the wires, do they have any cracks or splits on the insulation coating of the wire? If so, then the charger could be damaged, so you would need to replace it! But before ordering a replacement, if you have a friend with a charger that is compatible with your dsi, using your friends charger, see if it charges your dsi up. If it doesn't, it clearly shows that the charger is the cause to the not charging problem. So you can go ahead with confidence and order a replacement charger.
2)Locate the charging port on the console, does the contacts inside it look worn out and damaged? If they do look like that, then you would need to replace the charging port. Replacing it will involve you to dissemble your console, so you can get access to it and replace it.
3)If the charger and the charging port is operating correctly and your Nintendo dsi still won't charge, then i would suggest you replace the battery pack. Sometimes that battery pack can develop a fault, or sometimes can lose charge. When ordering a replacement battery, make sure it is a genuine product made by Nintendo because there are many fake batteries that don't have the product quality of a genuine battery. Fake batteries can explode and also have crap battery life, i already know this because i ordered a cheap fake replacement battery and experienced crap battery life using it.
