If your Ipod shuffle is not loud enough for your ears, then i have a few solutions that i use on my own Ipod shuffle to make it play louder sound:
1)If your tracks are in mp3 audio format, you can use software to volume boost the audio. Make sure you don't volume boost the tracks you want to make louder, to high, as there will be lots of distortion, which can reduce the sound quality and can cause damaged to your headphones. I use mp3trim to boost the volume of my mp3 tracks and it works perfect!
2)If you music files are encoded at a bit rate below 128 Kbps, there will be a drop in loudness. If your music is below 128 Kbps, the volume level will be reduced slightly, so you need to re-rip the tracks from the original source to at least 128 Kbps or above.
2)Buy a new pair of headphones because after a while, the headphones that you are currently using with the Ipod shuffle loose volume.
3) Buy a headphone amplifier. What it does is increases the output of the sound, by amplifying the input signal, which the Ipod Shuffle provides and the amplifier creates a larger output, which makes the Ipod shuffle sound louder. Headphones amplifiers are cheap to buy and even cheaper if you build your own.
